1. You aren’t sure what’s important
When you get to college, it is easy to sign up for a lot of classes, clubs, and other activities. Having so much opportunity in one place is great… But how do you decide what to say yes or no to?
2. You have too many priorities
Maybe a lot of things feel important. Yes, your degree is important, and you want to perform well in your major classes. But maybe you also want to prioritize your social life and spending time with family. Add in a few hobbies and self-care and it’s easy to see how we get bogged down by so many priorities.
3. Your aim is off
At the root of these issues is one word: aim.
We aim at things in life, and that aim directs our focus to what is truly important. If you haven’t considered your aim recently, try spending some time reflecting on where you’ve been and where you want to go. Take an inventory of what you value in life and what you want your life to be centered around.
