Clarity: the concept that runs my business

In life, chaos and order seem to battle it out from global events down to the moments that make up a day. I used to be on the side of “order” by trying to make everything in my life super-organized. It didn’t work. Chaos always seemed to slip in. And if an entire system is built around order, it only takes a little chaos to destabilize it.

Now, I use clarity. Clarity fits with order and with chaos. Clarity for students could look like:

  • Having a clear organizational system for digital files, while also including a folder dedicated to “random” things you don’t know where to save yet
  • Telling your professors exactly where you are in understanding your coursework, even if it means admitting you didn’t follow their last lecture
  • Planning your study sessions with intentionality and flexibility to include the possibility of plans changing
  • Working toward understanding yourself, what your values are, and what you need to do to achieve your goals with integrity

Clarity is a key. It’s not the only key. But it’s a key that unlocks many doors.
